DAX Group, with support of dp, has its sales portfolio checked for export conformity and adapts structures to accordingly reduced business

In times of increasing trade conflicts with quota regulations, tariffs and export restrictions, not only must compliance be ensured, but also local structures must be adapted quickly if the footstep in the markets is to be ensured sustainably and profitably.

In a 6-week assignment, the sales portfolio for new products as well as spare parts was interactively examined for compliance with the latest export rules with the product managers of the 5 business areas, and under involvement of the business unit managers and the legal advisors of the Group, and at the same time the production, engineering-., service, sales and administrative structures including costs in the country were captured and analysed by dp.

The review of the sales portfolio led to a compliant sales volume that shrank to one third. Thanks to the internal analyses carried out in parallel, it was then possible to quickly adjust the structures not only of operations in the country, but also in the global business areas, and to optimize value chains accordingly.
